The new Ultimate Spider-Man, Miles Morales.
According to the writer of the Ultimate Spider-Man series, Morales was inspired by actor Donald Glover of the TV show Community.
The new Spider-Man is half black, half latino, and stirring up a bit of controversy in some circles.
And now all of my fears have been extinguished. BRING ON THE MOVIE.

Miles Morales. The new Ultimate Spider-Man. Half hispanic half african. Let the discrimination begin. I don’t see the big deal you guys. WHO CARES?! Can’t wait to see how this turns out though. XD
I feel the same way should color matter in the world of comics they act like this song hasn’t been played already. James Rhodes = Iron Man, Black version of Captain America, John Stuart = Green Lantern and many more roles that were portrayed first as white then gotten taken over shortly by a man of color it’s no biggie people geez get with the times of 2011 not 1950’s smh. I hope Miles does his best!!! and that’s not just cause I’m half black & half hispanic either.
I like it. Plus he’s based on Donald Glover, and that guy is fucking awesome. Plus I have been reading the series leading up to the introduction to Miles, and I think he’s going to be awesome.
